The term Claymore actually mean “great two–handed sword”. The claymore is perceived to be an offshoot of the early Scottish medieval long sword; known to be used extensively in constant clan warfare and border fights with the English from circa between the 1400 to 1700. This is a large sword & is designed to be wielded with two hands. The sword has a stylish ball type pommel & cross guard which is made from solid brass; the grip is made from high quality hard wood. The blade is hand forged & expertly tempered from superior quality high carbon steel & has a diamond shaped cross section for added strength, stiffness & straightness. The scabbard is made for good quality leather provided with belt hanger loop.
