This is a short, one–handed, double–edged sword generally carried by the Legatus Legionis. The Aquila aka the roman eagle is the casted with almost sculptural details in the pommel along with the fish scale pattern in the handle to facilitate a non–slip grip. This sword is designed to be well balanced, agile & can be wielded with one hand & is stiff enough to thrust easily. The blade is hand forged & expertly tempered from superior quality high carbon steel & has a broad fuller followed by a double fuller on both sides of the blade which gives it added strength, stiffness & straightness. The scabbard is made for good quality leather provided with belt hanger loop.
